Description

This postcard features a color illustration of the State Capitol Building in Jackson, Mississippi, a white, four story building with a large dome in the center of the roof and six, two story columns across the front entrance. A sidewalk leads up to the building with green lawn on either side. The title of the card is printed in the upper right of the image. The back of the card is addressed to Mrs. Clarence G Calvin in Ravenna, Nebraska. The card is postmarked Corinth, Miss., March 30, 1944 and a green, one cent George Washington postage stamp is placed crookedly in the upper right corner. An inscription is written on the left half of the card and "Lydia Wallis, Corinth, Miss." is ink stamped on the bottom left. [see transcription field]
