Description
This postcard features a color illustration of the Confederate monument located at the Old Capital grounds in Jackson, Mississippi. The monument, built in 1891, features a soldier standing on top of an obelisk and a statue of Jefferson Davis at the base of the obelisk. The Davis Statue was eventually removed from the monument and moved to the Old Capital museum. Trees are seen to the left of the monument. The title of the card is printed along the upper left edge of the image.
