Description

This black and whitepicture postcard features the garden view of the St. Augustine garden and chapel with trees, a statue, flagpole and concrete planters. The title along the bottom of the card reads "St. Augustine's Seminary, Bay St. Louis, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Bay St. Louis, Miss. Nov. 20, 19443. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mr. D. A. Brown in Skamania County, Washington.

Bay St. Louis, Nov. 29-43, Dear Mrs. Brown, Your kind letter on Nov. 22 came two days ago an I want to offer you my cordial thanks for the letter and it's contents. May God bless you for your generosity. I pray for you at the shrine. This building is the chapel of the St. Aug. Seminary for the colored. There will be one ordination on Jun. 6, 45. The S. V. D. Fathers from [?] are doing grand work and no doubt you know about it. Most gratefully yours [?] Sr. Albertine
