The front of the hotel features a tower on each side of the entrance and dormers along the roofline. Palm trees line the front of the hotel. The handwritten title along the bottom of the card reads "Southwest Wing of Great Southern Hotel, Open All the Year, Gulfport, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides photographer/publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Gulfport, Mississippi, August 25, 1920. The card is inscribed and is addressed to A. M. Barrett in Chicago, Illinois.
It's certainly fine down here. Having a busy time and will write you when I have any news. Don't for this ideal spot for your vacation.
