Description

This postcard is a color illustration of the Attala County Courthouse in Kosciusko, Mississippi, a two story red brick building with four, two story white columns at the front entrance. Three chimneys, a white railing, and a clock tower are on the roof. Trees are depicted in the yard in front of the courthouse. The title of the card is printed along the bottom of the card and an inscription is written in the upper right corner of the image. The back of the card is addressed to Miss Carrie Foster in Birmingham, Louisiana. The card is postmarked Grenada, Miss., July 8, 1909 and a green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. [on the front] Your card forwarded to me at Koscusko Saturday and I was really glad to hear from you. A [on the back] Grenada Miss 7-9-09 I am glad to know you reached home safe but am sorry to know that you are having so much trouble looking after Miss. Rifie but am little inclined to believe you to be joking to a certain extent. We can truly empathize with B'ham now as we are hose playig losing [?] Allie [sic]
