Description
A black and white photograph of a team of oxen pulling a wagon of White Oak Veneer logs on a wagon is featured on this postcard. A young child and a man are pictured riding on the logs and buildings are pictured behind the wagon. An advertisement for Water Valley along the top of the card refers to the tow as being "in the hardwood belt, where there's something a-doing all the time". "An up-to-date city with a great future" is printed on the left edge of the image and "The Tragedy of the trees" is printed along the bottom of the card, describing the type of tree pictured, the forest where it was cut, and claims that the largest oak and the largest walnut tree in the state is near there.
