This color postcard features two people walking along the path beside a lake, a person in a canoe on the lake, and a white house on pilings over the water. Trees surround the lake area. The title in the upper left corner identifies the locations as "Hamilton's Lake, Meridian, Miss." Ink from a postmark is visible in the upper part of the image. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Meridian, Mississippi, August 25, 1917. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Kenia Kennedy in Montrose, Mississippi. There is some slight damage across the top portion making the inscription difficult to read in places and is also present on the upper portion of the postage stamp.
