Description

This color postcard features a group of people in early twentieth century clothing standing on a bridge or pier. Trees and a bridge are seen in the distance. The title along the top of the card reads "Tombigbee River High Water Mark, April 12, 1892, Columbus, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Columbus, Mississippi, June 4, 1913. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mrs. N. L. Eldert in Atlanta, Georgia.

at this time. [?] and Cattle some floating down the river and at this point the [?] was 14 miles wide. Some [?] water. Regards E. W. R[?] [sic]
