Starkville, Miss. May 4, 1945. My but it is cold here. Just got home. My bro [and] I took in a show. And had the best fish dinner. Fresh fish from the Gulf. My sisterinlaw is in Memphis. Come home tomorrow. I wish you could see the flowers. Roses are beautiful. We are going out for supper. Gladys. [sic]
