Description
This postcard features a black and white image of Iuka High School in Iuka, Mississippi, a two story building with a gabled roof, three stone arches a the side entrance below a second story balcony that's lined with three white columns. The front entrance is a covered set of steps. A person is pictured standing on the corner of the school building. The title of the card is printed along the bottom of the card. "Our school faces north" is written across the top of the image. The publisher and photographer are printed along the bottom edge of the card. The back of the card is addressed to Miss Lorena Philips in Corinth, Mississippi. The card is postmarked Iuka, Mississippi, September 15, 1910 and a green, one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. No, I have not forgotten either you or your address. Was glad you remembered me. We are well started in our chool work. I have only (55) fifty-five in my department. It keeps me busy. I do not like the change in spelling work in second grade--I have not forgotten our pleasant time at Kossuth It has meant so much to me. Clara [sic]
