This black and white postcard features the Carrie Hearn-Hurt Memorial Building the Blue Mountain College Campus in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. The building is a large two story structure with a balcony on the second story and multiple chimneys along the rooftop. Several trees partially obstruct the view of the building. The title is printed beneath the image and an inscription is handwritten below the title. The inscription reads "Hello how are you this rainy weather. It has been raining for one week. J. N. Bennett. "[sic] The back of the postcard is addressed to Mr. Boyd Culver in Peoria, Illinois. The card bears three postmarks. Blue Mountain, Mississippi, October 2, 1906, Peoria, Illinois, October 3, 1906, and General Delivery, Peoria, Illinois, October 3, 1906. A note about the college is printed in the lower left corner that reads "Many good schools canvass largely without overflowing. With much more room, Blue Mountain Female College, Blue Mountain, Miss., overflows largely without canvassing. Why?"
