Description
This black and white postcard features the wreckage of railroad cars on the tracks. The title in the upper left reads "I. C. Wreck, Coldwater, Miss., Feb. 8, 1909." The back of the postcardidentifies the item as a postmark and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. The postage stamp has been removed from the designated space. The card is postmarked Coldwater, Mississippi, March 21, 1912. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mr. Alvin Rubottom in Augusta, Arkansas.

My dear friend: Your card received. I cannot get any scenes of our little village and this is an old scene it will give you some idea of the terrible wreck which occurred here few yrs. ago. I live at the house and the wreck was just a little way from my home. As ever. Vivian [sic]
