Description
This color postcard features buildings on either side of the street with people walking in the street and on the sidewalks. Early twentieth century cars are parked on the street and a sign for a lumber store can be seen on one of the buildings to the right. The title in the top center of the card reads "Front Street Looking North, Hattiesburg, Miss." The back of the postcardidentifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed upside down in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked for Hattiesburg, Mississippi, May 27, 1913. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Susie Wilton in Nashville, Tennessee.

May 27, 1913 Dar Suse and all. Have been looking to hear from you for sometime. Hope all are well. Say is Mamma sick. I have not heard from her in 3 weeks. Write me real soon. I have 3 pieces of music for you. [?] says Hello. Love from us. [?] Birdie [sic]
