Description

This color postcard features an image of cut trees on the back of a wagon that is being pulled by a team of oxen while men stand nearby. The title along the bottom left of the card reads "Logging Scene, near Hattiesburg, Miss." The back of the postcard identfies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed upside down in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Mississippi August 25, 1915. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Garnet Shockey in Ohio.

Wednesday P.M. [?] like a scene on back are about post. The [?] and [?] you received were off this variety of pine. If [?] sent Mrs. and Mr. Dorghs address and any others you like and will remember them for you. Tell me about your Springfield propostion. Fred [sic]
