Description
This black and white postcard features builidngs with horses and carriages parked in front. The title along the side of the card reads "Scene on East Front Street Showing New I. O. O. F. Building, Hattiesburg, Mississippi." An inscription continued from the back is handwritten sideways in the sky portion of the image. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A red two cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Mammoth Springs, Mississippi, July 3, 1907. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Janie Drake in Port Gibson, Mississippi.

[from the back of postcard] How are you, Miss Drake? I know you are enjoying vacation. I was surprised to find [sic][front of postcard, continued from the back] Carrie Cash at the Normal. She told me that Mary Cook was goin to visit you soon. She just won't write to me. Lots of love, Georgia [sic]
