Description
This black and white postcard features a view of the multiple buildings, including Hotel Hattiesburg, the livery and stable, and Hawkins Hardware. People are on the sidewalks and horsedrawn buggies are seen in the street. The title in the upper right reads "Looking East on Pine Street from First National Bank, Hattiesburg, Miss." Henly and Hall are listed as photographers in the bottom right of the card. The back of the postcard identfies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked twice. The first postmark is for Carnes, Mississippi, January 6, 1908 and the second postmark is for Hoffman, Oklahoma, January 10, 1908. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Alva Buchanan in Hoffman, Oklahoma.
