Description
This color postcard features a river with a road on the left and trees on the right. The title in the upper left corner of the card reads "Scene Near Hattiesburg, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A red two cent postage stamp is place in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Mississippi, December 29, 1917. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss May McCrim in Burlington, Vermont.

Dec. 28, 1917 Hattiesburg Miss Dear Mae. I am in town today. It is very cold hear and has been raining. [?] by the time you get this card Mrs. Behrs will be back. I wish I was in B today. This weather makes me lonesome. Will right letters tonight. I owe my regards to all the folks in B. Love and [?] from Gevida [sic]
