Description

This color postcard features buildings on the left side of a street with the sign for S. H. Kress and Co. 5-10 Cent Store visible. People are depicted walking along the sidewalk in front of the buildings. The sign along the top of the card reads "Main Street looking North, Hattiesburg, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A red one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Mississippi, October 9, 1913. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Olive M. Jones in Fernwood, Mississippi.
