Description
This color postcard features images of twelve churches located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Depicted are the following churches, (each row left to right) Broad Street M. E. Church, Main Street Baptist Church, Newman Chapel, Presbyterian Church, Bay Street, M. E. Church; Congregational Methodist Church, Fourth Street, Episcopal Church, Catholic Church, 5th Avenue Baptist Church, Main Street Presbyterian Church, First Baptist Church, and Court Street Methodist Church. "Churches of Hattiesburg, Miss." is in a text bubble at the bottom of the card and the images are set against black. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence, address, and postage stamp placement. The card does not have a postage stamp but is postmarked for Hattiesburg, Mississippi, August 20, 1910. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Lucile Williams in Mendenhall, Mississippi.
