Description
This sepia toned picture postcard features a white boat with a striped cloth covering on it as it sits on the water near the bank. A man is seated in the boat and two men are seated on the bank near the boat. Trees surround the body of water and frame the boat.The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Mississippi May 25, 1908. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mrs. Hattie E. Brown in Whitehall, New York.

1908 Hattiesburg Miss. 1908 Photo; Boat named Jerre; Dear Friend I am sending you a picture of the boat J. J. McDonald built. The Jerre is the name of it. Why don't you write to me. I wrote you back in Dec. and I've never received any reply. I am going to the coast for a month in June. Let me hear from you before I go. Have not been well in a long time. Your sincere friend, O. M. W.
