Description
This postcard features a black and white image of a Confederate monument in front of the Jones County Courthouse in Laurel, Mississippi. The monument is a stone statue of a soldier standing on a pedestal atop the roof of eight paired Tuscan columns on pedestals, that enclose a statue of a woman kneeling in grief, all on a stepped base. "Confederate Soldiers" is engraved on the facing of the monument, flanked by the image of crossed swords. The courthouse is to the right of the monument. The title of the card is printed at the bottom right of the image.
