Description

This postcard features a black and white image of buildings on East Front Street in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The building on the left has arched windows on the bottom, arched brickwork above the windows on the second story and a sign that reads "Furniture Orr Bros Furniture" between the windows and the roofline and a vertical sing between the last to windows that simply reads "signs". Awnings are on the three windows on the left. The building on the right has arched windows on the second story and awnings over the windows o the first floor. A sign that says "Restaurant" is between the first and second story windows. The title of the card names all of the businesses located there and is printed below the bottom edge of the image. An inscription is written across the top of the image and across the bottom edge of the card. The copyright and publisher is printed in the lower left of the image. The back of the card is addressed to Mr. Julian Bailey in Laurel, Mississippi. The card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Miss., December 28, 1906 and a green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed upside down in the upper right.
