Description

This postcard features a black and white image of the Mississippi Central Railroad Shops in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, a long building with tracks that have railroad cars on them in front of it. The shops have a capacity for 12 cars a day. The title of the card is printed along the bottom of the card and an inscription is written sideways across the card, including over the image. The back of the card is addressed to Mr. E. H. Sojourner in Slidell, Louisiana. The card's postmark is mostly faded but the date, October 1, 1907 and a green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed sideways in the upper right corner.

When and where do you expect to sail? Not out of the "land of post cards" I hope--why not sail to Mississippi sometime--Hattiesburg for instance--But you hate to go alone--N. H.
