Description
This postcard features a color illustration Front Street Looking East in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Commercial buildings and utility poles are on either side of the street and people and horse drawn buggies are depicted on the street. A sign on front building on the right reads "G. D. Benedict's Yellow Pine Lumber". An inscription is written sideways across the image. The back of the card is addressed to Mr. E. H. Sojourn in Slidell, Louisiana. The card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Miss., February 15, 1908 and Slidell, Louisiana, February 16. A green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed upside down and crooked in the upper right corner. An inscription is written sideways on the left half of the card. [see transcription]

[front of the card] Read your postal yesterday and met the postman this morning, he gave me your letter. Yes I’m still angry you know I told you you couldn't answer my letter til you [???] [back of the card] Came to K'mry this morning am having a swell time as usual. Time to see the [???] played to-night Ev. N. [sic]
