Description
This color postcard features the front view of the red brick three story Forrest County courthouse with a spherical Confederate monumnent to the right of the building. The courthouse features four white columns at the top of the entrance steps. The title at the bottom of the card reads "Court House, Hattiesburg, Miss. reached via "Panama Limited," Illinois Central System." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides ndication for postage stamp placement. The logo for the Illinois Central System is in the upper left corner with the words "Illinois Central The Road of Travel Luxury" in the top center of the card. The description in the lower left corner reads "Route of the "Panama Limited"--the finest train on earth. Barber, maid, valet and bath."
