Description

This black and white postcard features buildings on on a horse and buggy lined street. The buildings on the left advertise "Robinsons Removal Sale Now On: Store To Let--Fixtures Fore Sale", "The Bazaar", "Furniture", and "Bank". Signs on the buildings to the right advertise "Drugs" and Hattiesburg Hardware." The title along the bottom of the card reads "Main Street Hattiesburg, Miss." The photographer is listed in the lower left of the card and aname is written just above the card's title. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Mississippi, August 14, 1908. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Pearle Proctor in Dawson, Georgia.

[front of postcard] C. Koonce [back of the postcard] I got home Sunday last. Had a delightful time at my sisters. She came home with me. I am now taking a rest at home. Hope you are are rested 'ere this. As ever, Carrie Koonce
