Description

This color postcard features a three story red brick building with a staircase on each end of the building. A woman is pictured standing on the sidewalk in front of the building. The title along the top of the building reads "The New High School, Hattiesburg, Mississippi." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides creator information. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner is placed in the upper right and the card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Mississippi, September 8, 1922. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mr. James R. Cloy in Laurel, Mississippi.

Transcription

When I arrived in Hattiesburg last night, found mother ill. Doctor thinks she will be better tomorrow and if so I shall be there Monday morning. Gladys S.
