A sign on top of the right side of the roof reads "Hays and Field" and people are walking on the sidewalk and street in front of the building. The title along the bottom of the card reads "Carter Building, of Main and Front Streets, Hattiesburg, Miss." There is an inscription handwritten sideways on the left side of the card and the date and a signature is handwritten in the lower right corner. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Mississippi, March 12, 1908. The card is addressed to Miss Clara Sauerbsunn in St. Louis, Missouri.
