Description

This color postcard features a tall Confederate monument placed in front of the red brick courthouse. The title along the top reads "Confederate Monument and Courthouse, Hattiesburg , Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Mississippi, May 20, 1911. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss O. Jones in Brookhaven, Mississippi.
