Description
This color picture postcard features uniformed artillerymen standing behind a large military weapon with trees behind them. The title along the bottom of the card reads "A 155 Millimeter Gun and Crew--Camp Shelby Near Hattiesburg, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Camp Shelby, Mississippi February 10, 1941. The description in the upper left reads "Camp Shelby--Near Hattiesburg, Mississippi was established during the World War. Situated on high rolling pine clad hills, this camp will be one of the largest in the country." The card is inscrbed and is ; addressed to Mr. Alva Frontz in Ohio.
