Description

This black and white picture postcard features the trainees at Camp Shelby participating in "setting up" exercises in an open field with tents in the background and tree stumps in the foreground. The title along the top reads "Kentucky" Setting Up Exercises, Camp Shelby, Hattiesburg, Miss." The back of the picture postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides artist information and indication for address and correspondence information. The postage stamp has been removed and "4--" is written in pencil where the stamp should be. The card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Mississippi, June 17, 1918. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Louise Goldsmith in Bellfontaine, Ohio.
