Description
This postcard features a black and white image of the American Red Cross building at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, a long split level house with one story on each end and two stories in the center. Four tall columns are across the front of the main entrance. A second entrance is on the left end of the building with a small covered landing. Pine trees are in front of, behind, and beside the building. The title of the card is printed along the bottom edge of the card. The back of the card is addressed to Mrs. Seth Gilbert in Jeffersonville, Vermont. The card is postmarked twice, Camp Shelby, Mississippi, August 17, 1912. An inscription is written sideways on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]
Transcription
Dear Sister and all, August 15th 1942. Hope you're well and all and that Seth is coming fine. His some tough to stand it. Tell him to take good care of his self and you want to. I'm O. I, No news here. Should wirte a letter quite busy but will soon. Best of luck to all and Love. Cpl., Lynford A. Hull 20151052 [sic]
