Description

This black and white photograph features two young women in dresses standing beneath a China Tung tree in Biloxi, Mississippi. The woman on the left is reaching up to hold a branch of blooms while the woman on the right is leaned against the tree trunk. Blossom petals from the tree are scattered around on the ground where they are standing and houses can be seen to the side and behind the women at the tree. The back of the photograph includes a typed history of the Tung tree, it's uses, and its promise of a new agricultural-industrial project for the south.
