Description

In this handwritten letter, R. B. Webb writes to Mrs. Sallie A. Adams in his role as Special Master and Commissioner in Attala County, Mississippi, to inform her that he has enclosed a check for two hundred and forty dollars and ninety-five cents as her and her children's distributive for the sale of a lot of land in Kosciusko, Mississippi and asks her to sign the first receipt and return it to him. He further requests that she have W. H. Adams to sign for his share of thirty-four dollars and forty-two cents and lists the others who have a share in the sale and the amount. The back of the page informs that this is a copy of the letter that was registered and forwarded to Mrs. Adams via mail on October 4, 1888 in Sanford Florida.
