Description
This black and white photograph features Tougaloo College President, George Owens crowning Frances Jenell Hutchins Miss Tougaloo College, 1975-76 during the pageant ceremonies on Saturday, October 11, 1975. The caption beneath the photograph states that the event was the feature of the college's 106th Founder's Day weekend. Hutchins is shown wearing a white dress with a cape and holding flowers while President Owens, in a dark suit, holds a crown above her head.
