Description
This black and white photograph shows Cavett Taff, curator of exhibits and journalist, Betty Werlein Carter (Mrs. Hodding Carter, Jr.), holding an artifact of the Mules and Mississippi spring exhibit at the Mississippi State Historical Museum. The artifact is a "Big Jack" horse and mule feed sack with the image of a mule on it. Taff is pictured wearing jeans and gray button down shirt and Carter is pictured wearing a dark jacket over a gray dress. A typed description below the photograph identifies the people and exhibit and informs that Carter's article on "Mules in the Delta" was reprinted in the catalog accompanying the exhibit.
