Description
This black and white photograph shows Doug Shanks, a mayoral candidate for the city of Jackson, Mississippi, speaking to the press while his wife stands beside him. Shanks is dressed in a dark suit and tie and his wife is wearing a dark dress. Shanks is speaking while two men point microphones with news logos toward him. Signs that read "Doug Shanks. For a Jackson we can live with. Mayor." are seen on the wall behind him and a man in a dark vest and a woman in a light jacket are seen to the left behind him. Note: The date listed for this photograph is an estimate as the original photograph is undated.
