Description
This black and white photograph shows four political newspaper reporters seated on the left, the moderator in the center and three candidates for Mississippi governor on the right, seated at a V-shaped table in front of a wall of curtains. Pictured from left to right are, Bill Peart from Jackson Daily News, Bill Minor from the Times-Picayune, Kenneth Toler from the Memphis Commercial Appeal, Charles Hills, W. J. Caraway, a Mississippi Senator, Rubel Phillips, Charles L. Sullivan, and Paul B. Johnson. Placards with the men's names are on the tables in front of them alongside a microphones. W. J. Caraway served as the moderator and Paul B. Johnson is in mid-speech.
