In this letter, dated July 27, 1965, Mrs. Robert P. (Myrtis) Wineman writes to H. Victor Howe, the director of the School of Geology at Louisiana State University to request his help in locating a location in Louisan referred to in previous research of the Rawls family as "the Black Sands of La".
