Description
In this letter, dated August 12, 1963, Hazel Short (Mrs. Melvin B. Short) writes to Myrtis S. Wineman in response to Wineman's letter of August seventh. She responds to Wineman's questions and describes her research activities. She goes on to explain her connection in the Guice family line and shares the information she has. Short included several handwritten notes throughout the typed letter. The letter on First Baptist Church, Sterlington, Louisiana stationary.

I know most of them; Do you know if stump has already been compiled?; I am a member at Monroe on a line established maternal bonds of S. C.; date of original application unknown 2nd filing-1776 granted 1778; Miss Rebecca Guice; dated 1859; Recently had a letter from Nellie Blanton in Texas. (I need a secretary!)
