Description

In this letter, dated February 8, 1949, James W. Silver of the University of Mississippi History Department, writes to Eunice J. Stockwell to request her help in identifying historical sites in Mississippi for designation of historical markers on behalf of the State Historical Commission. He outlines questions he should submit to the commission for policies for the markers and asks for her input. The letter is typed on University of Mississippi letterhead and a University of Mississippi envelope, addressed to Miss Eunice Stockwell is included. "Historical Markers in Miss." is handwritten across the envelope and Pemberton Corinth is written along the left edge.
