    Description

This document describes the information request made by Mary Meares Galt to Oscar Johnston concerning the former home of her grandparents, the Mulberry plantation on Deer Creek. The request provides a description of Galt's family, the history of the plantation during the Civil War, and seeks to know if the graves on the plantation remains and who the current owners of the plantation are. The information was provided to Oscar Johnston by Eunice J. Stockwell as a research service mentioned in a letter written to Stockwell by Johnston on August 21, 1947.
