Biloxi, Miss. Aug 15-49 Dear Carrie--Your first good letter and enclosure much enjoyed but it has been too hot and humid here to write letters. I'm all settled here now--it is a lovely [and] homelike hotel [and] am comfy. Farther out on the beach [and] their own pier etc. I am finally well tho do feel the heat a lot! [?] visit me here in Oct: it will be a treat for us [?] need a rest and change. Hope you feel well.
