Letter, Archibald Price to Parents, 1841
Archibald Price
In this letter, Archibald Price, probably aged about seventeen, advises his parents that he has not gotten rich yet, but expects to soon. He also notes he heard his father sent a horse to Columbus, Mississippi for his brother Thomas to ride home, and proudly reports this gesture was unnecessary, for he and his brother always have had access to horses, and anyways he can take care of himself. This item was included in the Scrawl and Order exhibit, http://lib.msstate.edu/exhibits/past/.
