Blanchard Lenoir (1810-1894), of Prairie (Muldon), Monroe County, Mississippi. Includes a letter about Amanda, a slave accused of trying to poison the milk with strychnine (1856). Letters include much discussion of slaves, particularly "Mom Nancy."
