MSS. 432. 1860-1864. 0.08 cubic feet. Letters and military papers of Merry B. Harris, a Confederate officer who headed the Pettus Relief Company of Mississippi Volunteers during the Civil War. Included are the rules and regulations of the Pettus Relief and a letter dated December 22, 1860, which describes conditions in South Carolina following its secession from the U.S. Facsimiles and other copies.
