Abstract

This capstone explores the limited availability of structured, production-focused creative media education within the examined institutional context, despite increasing student interest and industry demand. The aim of this study is to design a research-based undergraduate Creative Media Production (CMP) curriculum that aligns with institutional needs, industry standards, and evidence-based teaching practices. The study utilizes a conceptual framework combining constructivist learning theory, Understanding by Design, Project-Based Learning, High-Quality Project-Based Learning, and the ADDIE instructional design model. The research questions investigate how curriculum design and teaching methods prepare students for professional creative media production education. Using a qualitative, design-based approach, data are collected through systematic document analysis, comparative review of peer programs, and synthesis of scholarly literature and institutional policies. The final deliverable is a fully developed, institutionally approved CMP curriculum, which includes new course syllabi, a formal program proposal, and governance documentation to support program implementation and sustainable growth.
