Description
Oral history; interview with Ms. Glynda Fulce, August 10, 2012, Mitchell Memorial Library, Mississippi State University. Fulce was born in 1962 in Choctaw County, Mississippi. She came to Mississippi State University in 1991 as an Administrative Secretary in the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station Director's Office and served in that position until 1995. She then worked as an Administrative Secretary in the Extension Service's Food and Fiber Center from 1995 to 1997. Later in 1997, she became Administrative Assistant to the State Program Leader of Economic and Community Resource Development, and stayed there until 2001. Her next position was Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Mississippi State Cooperative Extension Service. She also co-authored the book, “True Tales from the Mississippi State University Extension Service,†along with Dr. Vance H. Watson, in 2008. In this interview, Fulce fondly remembers Lloyd-Ricks as the first place she worked on the MSU campus, and discusses many of the administrators who worked in the building, the process of writing the Extension Service book, and MSU's global outreach.
