The Southeastern U. S. Division of Texaco Distributors presented a $2,000 grant to the Dept. of Petroleum Engineering at MSU. On hand for the presentation were (from left) Dr. Herbert G. Warren, Dean Harry C. Simrall, MSU Pres. James D. McComas, Van R. Griffin (Texaco and a 1972 graduate of MSU), and Dr. Eldred W. Howe.
