Civil Rights group will review MSU practices
Description
This newspaper article discusses an upcoming visit to the Mississippi State University campus by the Office of Civil Rights in Atlanta, Georgia to review the University's Civil Rights policies. The review will determine whether or not MSU complies with the requirements of the affirmative action requirements when hiring. The article goes on to describe the affirmative action program and it's purpose and importance as well as the steps MSU has taken to adhere to it since it developed the program in 1969. An article concerning a visiting speaker, terHorst, is included on the right half of the clipping.
